Tom, I want to thank you for the amazing job you did of our auction. You did a fabulous job of advertising; and you followed through on your promise of getting the right people there. It really was an incredible day. I'm glad I stuck around to watch and take pictures. My husband and I are amazed at the outcome. We are so pleased and the proceeds will really change our life. Looking down the list of what items went for there were some happy surprises. It was exciting that the "Herman Miller" chairs went for $875, I had no idea. Also, There was a piece of art that sold for $650. No one in my family can figure out what that could have been. Do you remember? We would love to know. I hope to identify it in my pictures of the house. It was wonderful to meet your family and staff they were all so wonderful to me. I've spent the last couple of days grieving but, as I expected, I'm coming out of it quickly. Never in these last couple of days have I regretted the decision of selling the home. And, I imagine, in the next couple of days my feelings will change from grief to relief. My husband and I feel you really did right by our family. I just wish that darling Amish family could have "won the bid " on the house. I would have loved to imagine them bustling around the place. You told us we would have a great sale, but never in our wildest dreams did we realize the "junk" in the attic & basement & all throughout the rest of the home would bring the amount it did. I know you know the value of merchandise & are an appraiser & told us not to throw out anything before you had a chance to look at it & we sure are glad we took that advice. My wife & I can't tell you how thankful we are that we had you on our side throughout this whole Estate proceedure.
